I've read many of the reviews written here, so let me start by stating for the record...I do not work for Cedar Brooke, or the management company that owns the property. I am on my 4th year as a resident at Cedar Brooke. I've had my car broken into once and I've had a couple of things stolen off of my patio - and I happen to love living at Cedar Brooke. I owned my own home for the 15 years prior to moving here and I had vandalism and theft there as well. Here I atleast have a security company that drives through several times a night trying to prevent crime. The unfortunate reality is that crime occurs everywhere, so if you are looking for a "crime-free property"...good luck with that.
Over the past four years, I've seen some less than upstanding individuals move in and out of here (I believe that many of them left reviews on this site), however, the majority of neighbors I have met over the past four years have been really awesome people. They are honest and hard-working and I am pleased to have had the opprotunity to develop some really great friendships with many residents throughout this property.
Some reviews pointed out that the property is older, which it is, and there are certainly problems that arise because of that, but the unique design of the apartments is what I love about them. They don't feel like run of the mill, egg-shell white wall apartments. They have character. As someone else pointed out, there is an abundance of wildlife, such as the family of deer across the creek, or the beavers that live upstream and from time to time stroll down by the creek.
While I find the management and maintenance staff extremely friendly and very easy to work with when problems do come up, I'm sure they might come off differently to residents that cause problems or are continually delinquent paying rent.
I received a very nice Pointsetta plant and signed Christmas card this Christmas as well, and yes, I came home to find them placed nicely on the kitchen counter. I'm certainly glad they didn't leave the plant on my doorstep as I'm sure it would have been frozen by the time I arrived home. I appreciated the fact that someone took the time to deliver those to each apartment.
I love the fact that you are allowed to do landscaping around your area and plant flowers and shrubs. Since changing companies last year for grounds keeping, the property has really looked so much better. Grass is not being scalped and fallen leaves were so much better this past fall. There are so many trees, which is great, but it creates a lot of cleanup in the fall. A huge effort was made this past fall to try to keep up with it.
For those of you who wish to sit around and complain about everything, either shut up and try making it better, or get out. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq

I just want to say that I was a good tenent, I paid my rent on time and was friendly to my neighbors, however the friendly office staff would not fix the problems with my apartment...undesirable people moved in and out around me for 13 months, thats right for some reason they had me on a 13 month lease, weird, but one more of the wonderful quirks of cedar brook, I may add that the wonderful office staff are the people that rent to the trash that move in and out of there... I had 3 diffents tennets below me. 3 different next to me and 3 different in the building next to mine...so 9 different renters in 13 months...I guess the domestic violence and the 2 arson related incidents didn't help...Yes, my building was set on fire 2 times and it was declared arson by the police! So, there are real problems here, not just some disgruntled trashy people trying to get even with Cedar Brooke..I would consider it poor management...They may be nice, but that does not make you good at your job or capable propery management..
