Moved here in March and still like it!

I moved to Cornerstone in March and I really like it, however there are some pitfalls.
The apartment is nice and new, which is what we were looking for. I didn't want an old (outdated), smelly apartment. We were also drawn to them because of their 2 months free rent special. That saved us $1380, and who would want to pass that up! If prorated, our rent for the year only costs us $575 p/mo.
I do not like that we live next to a loud girl who always has music up really loud. I've called on her before, but she is still loud. I can even hear her on her phone if I'm in the bathroom. My fiance got 'called on' because of his 'loud' music, but it was barely on.
Their pool rules are BS too...people are ALWAYS in the pool after 10 p.m. If it were us, we'd probably get in trouble, because they supposedly 'prosecute' those in violation of their pool rules.
There are lots of young people (18-24) in the complex...reminds me of living in the dorms...which is something I wanted to get away from, since I've graduated from college now, but oh well.
The parking is fine, but I would definatly request NOT to live in 3930 or the one next to it (the ones in front of the car wash). My friend lives there and he is ALWAYS parking in front of the clubhouse, because they don't have enough spots in front of his building.
Maintenance is o.k. We've had a few problems, and they came out to fix them, but not in a very timely manner. We had a leak last weekend because a toilet was leaking upstairs. He said it was our AC...boy was he wrong... He also said he'd be back 'tomorrow' to fix the ceiling. It's Thursday, no word from him yet.
I would still recommend the place, it is nice! Also, I was referred by someone and they got their $500 pretty quickly.

UPDATE: That was MY review 7 months ago. My opinion has changed and I can't stand this place!!! It is NOISY, the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors and the people upstairs. I must live near a smoker, because every morning my bathroom reeks of cigarette smoke. It's like living in the dorms again...I hate it! The office staff girl who looks like shes from the Jersey Shore is a ----- and rude. She thinks shes all high and mighty making her 9 dollars an hour. Over the summer there was a note on the door near the pool, talking about some diease called Spigella (sp?). Basically it is ---- (yes #2) in the pool...Nasty!!! The pool is supposed to be open year-round and it has been closed for sometime. The hot tub was constantly full of newly 21 year olds and their glass beer bottles. The camera in the pool area must be a fake if they didn't catch that! After the big snow storm (you know, the 11" one...) they took a few days to get the snow shoveled from the sidewalks and the parking lot was he11 to drive in! That's it for now. If I can think of more I'll let you know! |

since you've graduated college and all...why don't you stop bi#ching about apartment living and buy yourself a house! As for $9 dollars and hour. You can make pretty good money in that industry. Upto 40-45,000 a year! I can't stand people like you.....learn to live with the decisions you've made and stop blaming other people!!! Move-out if you don't like it you little baby!!!

I think the blonde chick in the office wrote that response. How would she know how much people make in the industry, unless in the industry? And in a previous response, someone said the blonde chick needed to take a course in customer service101 and what a coincidence-peoplepleaser101...hmmmm.

I knew this blonde chick had to be Lisa or Jocelyn from the Mansions, someone else recognized her too. Make sure you do routine credit checks, you could be in for a surpise in the future.
