The management is very poor, the newest manager has never even worked in the industry before and was left by himself within the first week.
The grounds are horrible and covered in dog feces. People do not pick up after their dogs and the management does nothing about this- and they especially do not clean it up either. It smells horrible and I can just imagine how healthy it must be to allow children or other animals in the grassy areas.
The maintanance manager has always been nice and resolved my concerns quickly if I talked to them during business hours. If it is after hours and you have an emergency request don't expect it to get taken care of. My AC broke when it was over 100 degrees and they never responded to any of my 4 pages. I spoke with the manager the next day and he said he would find out what happened and of course I never heard back from him.
Then, one day some items (lamp oil) just appeared in my apartment that no one living there has ever seen. When I questioned the staff about this they said that maintenance had no clue where it came from and they wouldn't change my locks because no one stole anything. They wouldn't own up to the fact that they had entered my apartment and refused to change my locks. I doubt they would own up to entering my apartment even if they had really done it. It's pretty scary to wonder who is coming into my apartment without permission and they don't care.
I tried to have a person removed from my lease and another person put on and I was told by the owner's son (manager) that I could do this if I NEEDED to but that he didn't want to do it. Then, when the new manager started and I discussed it with him he said no, I could not do this per the previous manager. When I asked for the owner's phone number I was told no. This community is supposed to be part of the Crime Free Housing program yet they will not let you add people to your lease so there could be many people living here that are not supposed to be and have not had a background check or any other screening like what is required of the Crime Free Housing program.
Recently we had numerous police (app. 15 cars) show up because a girl was duct taped by four males and they threatened to "kidnap" her. The management did not know any more details of this than other residents the following day and when asked if those men lived here, they "assumed not" and I was told I should carry mace! They really seem to be following the guidelines set forth by the Crime Free Housing program.
Recently there was dog feces sitting on the walkway to the second floor of a building and the tenets who were responsible for this left it sitting there. This was not cleaned up by management- along with the other trash and debris that has been there for months now.
For $649 a month for just a one bedroom apartment I would expect much better conditions! You can go down the street to Coventry Park and pay $150 LESS a month and get three times the quality. The grounds are mostly dead grass overgrown with mushrooms and fungi with poorly kept greenery that is dead because they did not water anything all summer. It just repulses me that people live like this and this management company does nothing to take care of what could be great apartments.

Wow. Things have gone down pretty fast. We lived there for 3.5 months in 2005 (March - June) and thought it was decent.
