I've been living her for about 3 months now and I'm seriously considering breaking my lease just to get out of here. I love the structure of my apartment. I have huge closets and lots of room. I love the fact that I am allowed to have a grill on my balcony. When I signed the lease for my apartment, the complex was under different management, I LOVED them. Before I was there only 2 weeks and new management took over the place. I have had problems every since. First of all, I had an arrangement with previous management that I would pay my rent 2 days after it was due, because of my pay schedule. It's the only reason I decided moving to this apartment would be the best for me. These arrangements were noted to my account by previous management. After the new management took over, they didn't want to honor those arrangements. I went round and round with them for 2 months because there was no way I could pay rent at any other time. When I first complained about the issue I was told they could'nt give me those arrangements because then they would have to do that for everyone else. Then I was told that the system would'nt allow them to make those arrangements. She said that anyone who hadn't paid their rent by the time the office closed the day it was due, the system would automatically attach a late fee. Then after about a month, someone over the manager decided to honor the arrangements. Obviously, I was being lied to because if the system would'nt allow the allow arrangments why am I able to do what I requested in the first place. If you can move here without ever dealing with the office staff and management, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. But as soon as you have to deal with them, be careful and listen very carefully to what they tell you at all times.

Sounds like you are just whining because you were told to follow the same rules as everyone else. Waaaa waaaa. Grow up. If the agreement you speak of was in your lease, they would have to honor it. If, however, it was just a verbal agreement made by another company, then they do not. It looks like your only real complaint is that you cant pay your rent on time. Guess what pal, you are not the only person who doesnt get paid on the first of the month, the rent due date. Get over it and learn to balance your finances. Its not the staffs fault that you are unable to do that. Btw, under Independence city ordinance, you are NOT allowed to have a grill on your patio. Suggest ya check on that one.
