I've lived in Southern Hills for about 16 months. The staff are really nice and always call before dropping a package in the apartment that they signed for. The only problem I had with the apartment itself was my toilet clogging up, and it happened when the manangers were on vacation and I didn't have a current phone number for them outside of the office. They fixed the toilet when they came back and gave me an updated phone number. The toilet still wasn't completely fixed, so i had to call them in again to fix it comletely. That was several months ago and I haven't had any problems since then.

It's quiet; the neighbors are friendly. There are only a few kids, and their parents keep a close eye on them. The only crime I'm aware of was a domestic dispute that involved the police. The tenant to cause that problem no longer lives there. Parking was a little bit of a problem, but they recently resurfaced the whole complex and we now have assigned spaces. I hae only a few complaints: the pool is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day, even though the summer weather lasts longer; the rules only allow for the pool to be utlized through 10 pm, the only food service to deliver there is Domino's Pizza, and there is only one dumpster for the whole neighborhood, but it's right at the entrance/exit of the complex, so you can drop off the garbage on the way to work.

I am very pleased with my experience at Southern Hills and I highly recommend it to anyone. Rent includes cable (with HBO and Showtime), water, and trash. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

I am currently living in these apartments and I will agree that these are the best apartments I have lived in, the neighbors are great. My kids have a ton of friends to play with my husband and I have met a lot of people that have formed great friendships.. One warning the apartment manager is not very nice she looks for little things to complain about and if nothing to complain about is really sad. For example the first time my family and I were at the pool she came down on a Sunday asked every person in the pool who the were with (mind you this part I loved) but when no one was there with out being a resident or with a resident she was really upset that she had no one to throw out of the pool. Myself and several of the tenants will agree that this would be a perfect place to live in Jefferson City if under different management. We are now movinb from this happy home due to issues with the management and several of our neighbors have since moved because of Mary.
