I looked at about 15 complexes before settling on Tanglewood.

I moved here Jan 3rd 2004 and submitted this review February 9, 2005 and am very satisfied.

Tanglewood is a "gated" community, requiring a passcode to get in after dark.

I live in a 2-bedroom apartment, second floor, South-facing, full sun.

Tanglewood has 179 apartments here, all either 2-bedroom or 1-bedroom and EVERY single apartment has a washer, dryer and dishwasher IN the apartments.

They have a main office (all mailboxes are there too) and management is a married couple who live above the main office with a good view of the community at large.

They are VERY friendly and I often see the husband out walking the grounds after midnight and keeping an eye on who has visitors.

Unless there is a reason, they are never intrusive and are always friendly and professional.

The complex has a tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool, exercise room, and community room with big-screen TV.

Management monitors the property extremely closely and I have never felt safer anywhere else I've lived.

I'm a 32 year old single male.

Rent here at the time of this review is $345 for a 1-bedroom and $385 for a 2-bedroom.

You are permitted to have up to two pets for an additional $300 fully refundable deposit and $25/Mo fee added to the rent.

Even if you have pets and have to pay $410/Mo, the price would still be very good given the amenities like:

washer/dryer
dishwasher
garbage disposal
paid trash
gated community
plenty of parking
nice management

In all, $385 a month is very reasonable given all of the above and I really do recommend it.

There are many families that live here and the complex built a jungle gym and swingset play area for the children this past Summer.

I'm single and not so crazy about kids, but in the year I've lived here I have yet to complain.

The windows are double-glass pane so they reduce noise nicely.

The complex is a lengthy strip that enters off a busy main street but it goes so far back that where I live (not even at the back of the complex) I do not hear any traffic.

Give me a break. This isn't a place to post a free ad. It's for people who live there, not the staff. If you're so great, you don't need to write your own fake reviews...

Tanglewood is a "gated" community, requiring a pass code to get in after dark <========= nice joke, this gate is out of order for the last one-and half years, the new management told me today that they are working towards fixing the gate. Who knows maybe in another year or two it will be up and running.

yeah, any readers who are thinking about renting here.. this right here is a bunch of bullcrap. these apartments suck. its not a friendly environment, i always hear kids screaming, loud music and there are always drunk people walking around yelling profanities. no one walks around at night, and the gate is a flippin joke. i have never seen anyone out there trying to fix it, (and i live in one of the apartments right next to the gate.) the person that posted this is obviously a worker or a friend of an employee who has never lived here. "I have never felt safer anywhere else I've lived" = full of crap
