Trying to get out of lease
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 4/18/2005

Unfortunately we signed a 12 month lease, when a 6 month lease would have been way better. Things seemed really good at first, mainly because it was our first apartment, but since we moved in, we have lost; our 24hr security, our on-site management, our fitness room (supposedly under construction for 3 months), our parking lot has been being "repaved" for nearly 2 months leaving us to fend for ourselves on the streets of downtown KC. It is now 88 degrees in our apartment in the early spring, and they still haven't turned on the cooling. We have had to stay with friends and family. It is very hard to get maintenance help now that we don't have on-site management, and also they are no longer there to receive packages for those of us who work during the day. Unless you are ABOSLUTELY DESPERATE to live in downtown KC and don't care about having the things you need, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!
