This apartment building should be torn down. The owners have absolutely no inclination to do anything to keep it safe, sound or clean and secure. It stinks or garbage and wet drywall, the heating and cooling is junk, the elevators seldom work for more than a week continuously.
Im surprised more people dont come down with life threatening diseases in this joint.
Get out or dont move in. Its at your peril on all counts if you live there or move in.
The city should take a more active role in making sure buiding like this and owners like those of this building are made to live to codes quickly and efficiently.

The building is totally up to code,, I have lived here for over three years.. sure,, the elevators break down sometimes,, i mean the building is about 25 years old.. gotta expect that. However,, when running,, they are to code, and safe...... not to mention fast. As for the health environment,, there is no health risks in the building,, unless you dont keep your apartment clean.

There is black mold growing in the walls! There are cockroaches that live in the apartment units near by because some of the people living in 910 Penn are so filthy! When they finally try to clean something or spray for bugs the roaches move- they have to spray for bugs like every other month. I was also told that I could not replace my own carpeting or just take it up and use the tile underneath it because it is asbestos based!!! SERIOUSLY!!!???
