We lived at applewood for one year and would NEVER recomend it to anyone. First the staff was the worst I have ever had at a apartment complex. They would be nice to your face and would be nasty behind your back. Repairs were half way finshed and they have even used my tools to do the repair. The place was not well insulated so it was cold and you could hear everything. I know I got a great price but I had a weird neighbor who would watch me every time I took my dog outside and my husband had someone who lived in a different building get mad at him while we were at the pool and threaten him with a gun. Whatever you do DONT move here unless you like the ghetto. We saw the cops here many times and had neighbors who partied all the time and no staff ever did anything about it.

Yeah, Ok buddy. North Kansas City is always a place that I consider when I think about the ghetto. If you consider living in an area with nice homes, shops everywhere you go, and no, not just liquor and payday loan shops, SUV's everywhere, and I mean everywhere, and wait, I know, hardly any minorities, just a bunch of white people, then, yeah, I guess this is the ghetto. I love living here, far from being the ghetto.

Barry road is one of the most sought after locations in the Northland. I have been up to many businesses and have seen middle class or business people. How is that the ghetto? Sure this apartment is on the less expensive end and older but it seems like a decent safe place to live.
