Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
I lived here for two years. The apartment was fine, my neighbors were okay for the most part, but the people in the office suck. They lost my rent check not once, but TWICE, and made ME have to pay to put a stop payment on it and write them another check. $100 of your deposit they don't give back to you...and they STILL charge you to get your carpets cleaned before you move out. They give you this big list of stuff you have to do before you move out like fill the nail holes in the walls, ect...What the hell do they keep the $100 for if you gotta do all this stuff yourself. I had to give them a check for $45 to clean the carpets, that is a requirement...you either pay them to do it, or hire your own guy and give them a reciept, or they do it and take it out of your deposit. I don't get it...isn't cleaning the carpet just part of what you have to do when someone moves out' Come on!! SO they keep ur $100, plus make you pay $45 to get ur carpet cleaned. Okay...enough about the damn carpet..lol. Okay, you get these prepaid laundry cards that you stick into the washer/dryer and it deducts the money...okay well mine stopped working so I went to the office and told them, and they were like, well the w/d are broke..it's not ur card so we're working on getting it fixed, well two weeks goes by and I notice other ppl doing thier laundry so I figured it was fixed, so I go down there...and nope, my card won't work...but all these other ppl's cards work..so it MUST be my card. So I call and tell the office this...will they give me a new card...NO!! They still claim it's the machine itself that's broke, even tho everyone is gettin their laundry done. SO, I had to haul my laundry all the way across town for the last 2 months I lived there because the office staff are a bunch of idiots. By the way, there are only 2 washers and dryers PER BUILDING, so good luck getting ur laundry done anyway. Parking pretty much sucks. I had to park on the street everyday. I got my brand new car keyed one day...allll the way down the side. It was a group of kids who did it in broud daylight. By the way...they're kids everywhere....and the majority of them are little hoodlems, who cuss at cars that drive by and destroy stuff...ect..The pool area is always a nasty mess. Looks like total trash...the hot tub NEVER worked. It was either hot and didn't bubble, or was cold and bubbled. Crime is pretty bad there...I don't know how many times I would leave for work in the early morning and drive past cars that had had their windows broke out and stuff strung everywhere. Or how about the morning I left for work and walked outside and smelled smoke and I look over and there's a car...comepletely engulfed in flames. Or let's see...parking is pretty hard to come by as it is okay...well...there's a lot of cars that get parked somewhere..and they just sit there and never move...biggo hooptie pieces of ---- is what they usually are, and they sit and sit...and then you'll see a pink sticker on it, and your like, "finally, they're gonna tow that ----- and we can have an extra parking space back"... well....it'll sit there for another 4 months even after the warning sticker is put on. The office ppl just don't give a crap. You can call and call about it and nothing happends. They are a bunch of snotty ------- too...especially the main manager. Oh, and my apartment was small, okay, very small...and they raise the rent $50 every year. That's frickin rediculous. You'd think they'd want to reward you for staying in that hell hole for another year...by the time I left there....if I would have resigned my lease my rent would have been close to $550 for a 727 sq.ft apartment. I don't think so...!!! So please, don't rent here....it really does suck ass.
