We loved this place when we moved in...it was clean, the neighbors were friendly, and the area was fairly quiet. Directly after moving in, though, our ceiling started leaking. Closer inspection showed that our ceiling had been through a substantial amount of work. The maintenance guy (Paul) was very nice and came out several times to fix our ceiling but the leak kept coming back. We complained about a dozen times and it wasn't until we got mean that it actually got fixed properly (this was about 7 months later when the mold on it was turning black). After threatening to call the main office (that owns several properties) they offered to take $100 off of our rent and give us free storage (but refused to give us free parking...read the next paragraph).
The covered parking is "pay only" but most of our neighbors park where they like (which isn't fair when you're actually paying). Complaints about people in our spot went unreturned and unacknowledged. So I guess covered parking is actually free. Doesn't make sense that the parking is "pay only" but they don't enforce it and if you complain they ask that you supply plates and car makes/models for them to investigate (which they never have as our downstairs neighbor parks in a different spot each night). Parking is otherwise terrible and the streets are lined with cars. Before we began paying for parking we had to park on the street at the bottom of a hill and walk through mud and dog-dropping-infested grass to get to our building.
Our lease (and the advertisement that caught our attention) spoke of a pool and a hot tub on the premises. The entire time we were there the hot tub was out of service and they eventually just removed it altogether. We, of course, never received a discount of any sort for not having this advertised amenity.
Our dishwasher didn't work when we moved in and they "repaired" it a week after we began occupancy. Unfortunately, it was leaking into the apartment below us and they told us not to use it until they replaced it (which took another week). They put it in wrong and the door doesn't stay open properly when you're loading it.
The laundry facilities are a joke. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers to be shared by 18 tenants. You have to use a supplied card to run the machines and I constantly had to borrow a neighbor's card because the machines refused to recognize mine. The office wouldn't replace it and told me I just had to be more patient with the card and try it a few times to get it right. (It never did work). One of the dryers broke and quit heating and they let it sit like that for about 2 months with promises that the "parts are on the way". They've since replaced it with a regular unit that doesn't even read cards.
You can have dogs at this complex and you're supposed to clean up after your animals. Nobody ever does, though, but at least they posted signs to not leave cigarette butts all over the place. (Funny, I would much rather step on cigarette butts than dog poo!)
When our lease was up they gave us the option to sign up for 6 more months at a $100/month increase or a year for a $50/month increase. Sadly, they didn't give us the option to go month-to-month.
One of the boards in the upstairs hallway broke and they replaced it with a much smaller board that has a large gap on either side and makes you scared to walk on it for fear of catching your heel in it or having it flip sideways. Scary.
The people in the office are notoriously rude and hard to get a hold of. If you leave polite messages they will simply ignore your calls. If you leave angry messages they will not bother to call back because you weren't being polite (found this out when I asked why they didn't bother to call back).
After about a year they started letting trashy people move in (trashy people come in all sizes and colors) and the quality definitely went down. Suddenly we had drug dealers living around us and loud people coming and going at all hours. Some people would park in the grass by the dumpsters or block cars in the carports (no help from the management of course).
The complex was pretty clean when we first moved in but it steadily went downhill. Trash would sit by the dumpsters for weeks at a time and management eventually quit having the buildings' hallways cleaned. There was trash in the hallway that sat for about 2 months before I finally cleaned it up out of disgust.
The lights in the hallways and on the outside of the buildings are constantly broken and will be off for weeks at a time. During the winter the steps were icy and with no lights I slipped and cracked my tooth on the steps in the dark. Painful.
When you're moving in the people are very kind and helpful until you've been there for a few weeks and then they know they've got you. Terrible complex. Avoid at all costs.

This place is the worst. I have never ever lived in a complex that has such disregard for its tenants and tries to make money off tenants when they move out. I would NEVER recommend this pace to anyone. The funny thing is, they think that since they are often filled to capacity, they are doing well but what they fail to mention is that every month people take off without paying rent and therefore have to be sued costing more money to the apartments and in turn, they then get good tenants who are in good standing who move out under the normal course of time to then pay for charges that are made up by mangagement. They just suck. They don't enforce rules, maintain the grounds, or the laundry facilities and if you listen to their message when you call, they don't even know where they are located in the world as they say something like "sits on achrage in beautiful north wester KANSAS" They are in Missouri, not kansas..............should have been ahint right there that they don't know how to operate.

ok someone put garbage by my car. From June 25 - July 13; yes it is still ongoing people have been shooting off LOUD fireworks after 10 pm. I had some go off at 3 am. I was begginning to think I lived in the ghetto; it sounded like gun shots. I like the apartment but some of the residents are rude; while others are friendly. Some men in the fitness chase off the women. I still have ants. (sigh).
