Karen (manager) is HORRIBLE!

I lived there for a year and have to say it was one of the WORST experiences that I have ever had...
First of all, they paint a pretty picture that it's a higher class place to live, when in reality, they are one step above a trailer park environment. The apartments are OLD and falling apart and the parking is a JOKE. You have numerous cars out front that have been there for months (not running) and then you will always see someone working on their car etc (again - like a trailer park).
Karen (manager) has to be one of the ruddiest ladies that I have ever met in my life. She has been there for over 10 years (go figure) and should seriously look for a NEW career. She is VERY unprofessional and is very (fake) nice when you are looking to move in, BUT when it comes to getting anything done (repaired etc), she is horrible to deal with.
As far as getting your DEPOSIT back, FORGET it! I have never been so NIT picked in my life and she literally pulled the stove out and charged me for DIRT behind it and claimed she had to have a cleaning company come in (WHAT A JOKE). I guess she is that way so she can pad her bonus each month.
I would NEVER recommend Briar Hill to anyone and they should seriously consider replacing Karen as manager...

I have been at this property a long time. I do a great job and so does my maintenance staff. When we keep deposits its because of lack of cleaning or care to an apartment. I have never pulled out a stove and charged anyone for cleaning. We stay at 95% to 100% all the time due to the care and maintenance to our residents and property. People who leave the apartment dirty will be charged for cleaning. And I do not get a bonus for my work. I get paid to do a job and I continue to do it well. We hope that me doing my job well will make it a better place for those who follow people that type lyes like this!Come see the property and meet our long term staff and you can make up your own mind!

Your right on a couple of points.. Some of your staff like the Asst. Manager Andrea does a great job with communcating with people, with great people skills.. And maintenance! One I could say does a great job and cleans up any mess he makes after a repair. But all of them dont!! And the Manager(Karen)which maybe you is very sarcastic, rude and lack communication skills...They do have vebal judo classes you could take..
