I was drawn into Camden Passage by the nice grounds and affordable rent, and I was happy to see it was a pet-friendly community. What I didn't realize was that it also was bug-friendly. The day I moved in, there was a line of dead bugs (spiders, flies, small crickets) lining the baseboard of my outer wall, plus a few dead spiders in my bathroom and kitchen. I figured that maybe the apartment had been vacant for awhile and gave management the benefit of the doubt.

Week by week, the bug problem got worse. The insects were getting bigger, and there were more of them crawling across my floor. Management did send maintenance staff out to check out the problem, but they previously had ignored my reports until I asked about breaking my lease. The maintenance work they did do, however, didn't help.

On a side note, no one had even cleaned the bathroom when I moved in, so my toilet bowl had black bacteria growing inside it. What you get in walking trails and relatively low pet deposits isn't worth it here.

You forgot to mention the fact that you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in bathrooms above and below. It seems like the maintenance crew is constantly busy fixing apartments that have been recently vacated due to the noticeably high turnover rate. They should be called the cover up crew rather than maintenance. They ignored my complaints also, and when I asked why, I was told it was because they didn't have enough staff...totally acceptable excuse huh?

My family and I are getting ready for a long awaited reunion with my sister when she moves back to KC after 4 years! However she sent me to this apartment rating site to check out some places she was looking at. I had never heard of such a website and decided to check out my own home. I live at Camden Passage! I dont have alot to say except I LOVE MY APARTMENT! So much that I wanted to tell this person with the bug problem. My apartment has a new looking stove, big fridge, big washer and dryer...I love my BIG closet and full liength mirror..My bedroom window face one of the many cute little lakes and I can go on my patio to hear the fountain...LUV IT! Rent is affordable and I just hope my sister moves in next door to me! I have seen a few spiders and cickets but I thought it was just that time of the year!
