This was actually not my biggest complaint with CT, however. I did not enjoy living here. The cost was outrageous especially after our rent was raised 90 dollars when we renewed our lease for a second year (with my husband in med school we didn't really have time to move on short notice when we were told about our new rate). The management was "nice" but they were not good at doing much besides passing out doggy treats and acting more like dorm mothers than leasing staff. I read another reviewer mention the pet stains and trash in commons areas. This is completely true. The consequences for trash and pet accidents that were left in the halls were brought on all of us. Rather than take it up with offenders, the management preferred to simply post a bulletin threating to take away the amenities we pay for. We owned a cat while we lived there who never caused any trouble or made a single mark on their property, but we were all threatened with banning of pets. I never rented a movie from the office (a nice service they offer) but I was still scolded via posted memo when others did not return them. If you are fresh out of college and liked living in the dorms with someone to tell you how to act and threaten you with group punishments, this is the place for you.

Ms. Lee, sorry you did not enjoy your experience at CT, I wonder if you really did not enjoy it or if you are unhappy because you were not refunded your deposit and still owe damages from your dog urinating in the apartment and the charges for the unsanitary condition that the apartment was left in. We also apologize that advising you in February that the special rate in which you rented would no longer be valid in August was not sufficient time to make an adequate decision for yourself & family. We do advise residents of any rental increase or discontinued rent special at least 5 months in advance to avoid such situations; it has been satisfactory in all other cases. To avoid further damage to your credit, please contact the office to settle your debt. Best regards, Management (dorm mom)
