At first glance, this place is average looking. They keep the grounds pretty decent to lure prospective tenants in. They crow about how they have security patrolling the grounds. It's all a facade. I hate this place and I have't been here that long. When I first got here, I had the moving guys ready to move my stuff, but the management wouldn't open the doors until every last paper was signed, rent was in had, and security deposit was paid. They wouldn't even let the guys start moving stuff while I signed everything. After all the papers were signed, and they had my money, they opened the door for the movers, but I wasn't given a key yet. After everything was settled, i went to the front office to get a key and they couldn't find it! There was only one copy and the maintenance guy had it. I finally got the original and a copy. The original worked with a lot of banging and shaking of the door and a blast of graphite, and the copy never worked at all. They told me that my apartment had been completely gutted and redone. When I asked why, they shuffled their feet and wouldn't give me a straight answer, which makes me think something bad happened here. Completely replaced, my behind. My screen door or sliding door doesn't latch or lock at all. When I mentioned this, they put it a cheap looking piece of metal. The windows looked like they'd last been cleaned when the building went up in the 70's. When I moved in, the dining room fan was missing a blade and wobbled so badly, I was afraid to turn it on, lest it fall from the ceiling. Part of the dining room window frame broke when I opened it for the first time. The dead bolt is so mickey mouse, a five year old could break in. A part of the living room blind fell off when I tried to open it. The door on the front entry closet was off track and I had to fix it and spray some WD40 for the dumb thing to work. When you step on some areas on the carpeted areas, it's kinda bumpy. The washer and dryers are highway robbery. You put money on a smart card which you can't take off and it costs $2.50 to do one load. Oh yeah, and water comes up from the floor when the washers in the final stages. There's mold growing in my shower, some of the tiles are cracked, and my shower door turned white to clear when I cleaned it. One of the toilets leaked til I jiggled it around. The guy who referred me here was suppose to get $200 off one month of rent, which he never got. I asked the management about it and she said that administration had to approve it. How long does it take' I've been here 4 months. And if it's administration approved, why the hell is it advertised then' 2 of the guys I work with live here in the towers and both have had their repective cars broken into. Where's the security guy' Maybe sleeping in his car' They also advertise that they have a 24 hour maintenance phone line which someone answers at all times. My air conditioner is broke, I called the phone line, and big surprise, no one answered I talked to one of the other residents and he said it's always that way on the weekends. Nice, so it's 24 hours as long as I call Monday-Friday, between 8-5. I took a look at the air conditioner unit and it looks about as old as my grandma. There's a garden hose attached to it, it's leaking water, there's garbage strewn all around the bottom of it, and it doesn't look like it's ever been cleaned or serviced. The towers might be different, but I doubt it. Don't move here, pay the little extra and move into a nicer place. I can't wait to get outta here.
