Cloverset was our first apartment, we didn't really have much expectations. We thought it would be good because it was close to were we went to school and worked. Our neighbor was friendly but we could hear EVERYTHING that went on in her apartment, things we didn't want to hear. During summer, the pool was rarely open. The hot-tub rarely worked or didn't seem to be hot enough. It was more a "luke-warm tub" that had a nasty green color to it most of the time.
Maintenence could not have been more useless. Our air-conditioning broke 8 times and when they came to "repair" it they told us that it was working and that hot air sinks and cool air rises... I don't remember learning that in science class... We nick-named him dumb*ss after that. The whole unit should have been taken out and re-done with a new unit because they were putting coolent or antifreeze in it every time they came in.
Parking lots were not lit at all at night. I work late and usually came home well after midnight, and so did my other roommates. We never felt safe walking through the parking lot at night. Parking was often troublesome. There never seemed to be enough open spots. Another safety issue is that the security door was always broke, as if someone had yanked the door open to break the lock to get in. Maintanence also would come and go as they pleased in our apartments, without notice. They came to repair our cabinets in the bathrooms and we weren't informed.
They also failed to mention to us that they were going to repair our parking lot, our balconies, the siding, and the roofing. They would start working at 6 am and continue all day until 8. Sleep during the whole year became impossible. Not to mention waking up with a guy on your balcony staring into your apartment on numerous occasions. Talk about CREEPY!
If you're looking for a place that is going to have maintance people who don't have a clue what they're doing, construction throughout the year, being afraid to walk into your own apartment building, and no air-conditioning on the hottest summer days, all at a price of more than what they're worth, then this is the perfect place for you!
