I just recently signed on for another year at Coach House (no choice but to) and DID get a good deal in signing for another year, however, there are some things that I can't stand about Coach House.
1) Nobody knows what they are doing in the front office. There is no communication and you pretty much have all these girls running around like chickens with their heads cut off. You will ask one girl a question and get one answer, and get a totally different answer from another. They don't know what they are doing.
2) If you need to complain on a noisey neighbor, they don't want anything to do with your complaint at all. They simply tell you to call Security Patrol, and even then, if Security does come out, how do you know for sure that the complaint was written up properly so that the neighbor will get written up...you don't. So after making a hundred calls to Security on your pesty neighbor, it becomes clear that nothing is being done to resolve the matter, even though the front office claims to live by it's policy of "3 complaints and your out" and so you have to call and talk to the Manager herself and pretty much act like an ass just to get any results. But again, they don't want to have to evict anyone or stand by this so-called rule because that would mean a vacant apartment and no money I guess.
3) Parking. Parking is..well non-exsistent. They have no control over their tenants (especially the college ones), which are the culprits most of the time, where if you pay for a carport, you get people parking in your carport all the time and there is NOTHING you can do about it. You simply call security and HOPE that something will be done, but it isn't. They get this little stupid ticket that gives them so many hours to get out of the carport space which leaves you, even though you just paid rent and your carport fee, to park down the street and walk home. People have no respect of the fact that harding working folks pay for those carports and so rather than towing that illegally parked car, which Coach House says they can't do anymore, you get screwed and still have to pay for it.
4) Noise. Well there is certainly a lot of it at Coach House. College students driving through with their thumping base. Parties. Loud music after 10:00, all the time, even though, once again, Coach House has this so-called strict policy of no loud music, etc. after 10:00. People don't live by it because Coach House really doesn't enforce it. I feel that they feel that after 5:00, it's not their problem anymore.
This is definitely not a place I like to call home. They try to put on this dog and pony show telling you that this is a great place to call home, yet, your home has inadequate parking, thin walls, inconsiderate college tenants, incompetent office personnel and maintenance staff and your needs are never priority because there is always a price attached. Does that sound like the sort of home you would like to pay $700 a month for'
Don't be fooled by the package.

I was a resident at Coach house also, and experienced the same problems. Noisy college students, and because they have a contract witht the local colleges to pay rent, the community refuses to "rock the boat" and evict these problem tenants. Loud parties, beer bottles and vomit in the parking lots. Parking and car burglaries are a severe issue. Do not try to break your lease, they will get you for every fee possible, and the lease break fee is never the same for each tenant. It depends upon the mood of the agent or manager at the time of your break. In addition, to how the management is just out to get the residents money and does not care about your needs or circumstances as a tenant. I have had isssues with not receiving a water bill, and when I receive a notice on my door for non-payment of a bill I never received I am responsible for late fees, (5.00 a day plus a percentage of my rent), all because of a 20 dollar water bill, I end up paying 60 dollars, because the office failed to get me a bill. I was told it is my responsibility to check with the office monthly prior to paying my rent to find out how much I owe on a water bill if I had not received one. Many of the leasing consultants are unprofessional, loud, and speak inappropriately. The commmunity may be nice on show, but when you become a tenant, you are completely forgotten.
