Here's the facts:

*Called at least 30 times (no answer) to schedule viewing, finally made appointment.

*Went to visit, apartment was extremely small for a three bedroom.

*However, apartment met my needs although not what i expected.

*Friday Went downstairs, put down application fee and got application papers to bring back.

*Three days later (closed on weekend) called back without ever applying to pick up my application fee/check because i found better place. Called first, was told no problem.

*Tuesday, went in to pick up check and was told it was already deposited and could not get my check back from rude manager (Lori or something). Even though we all knew I had never even applied at all she insisted that it was my fault for giving them the check. Ridiculous.

*Tuesday evening, placed stop payment on check because of this.

These people are CON artists who obviously do not care about leasees or potenital leasees. Any way to make a buck, right' Horrible.

You are hilarious!! Why are you insisting that I work here – I guess it’s because I’m content with my apartment. Look bro, I do not know what your economic status is or how you were raised. But, I think this is a luxury. It has a washer and dryer in each unit. I don’t have to pay a huge gas bill because everything is energy efficient (electric). Parking is right next to the building. I grew up very poor and lived in the Bronx. The Laundromat was a trip we had to take every weekend. Parking – hahahahaha we used to park 3 and sometimes 4 blocks away and hide everything in sight because car robberies are normal there. I have to buzz people in here at Cold Storage. I feel safe here and I never experienced what you experienced. The people have been quite nice to me and all the neighbors are friendly. I am content here. Why you gotta hate? I’m sorry you had a horrible experience. I hope you are happy where you live and I also hope you can forgive and move on with your life. I will let this respond stand. I do not like arguing with people unless it’s face to face. Have a wonderful time at your new place.

I have no idea why you're so angry, unless you work there or something. In any event, I stuck to the facts, and my opinion at the the end. (by the way, unrefundable is not a word. It's Non-refundable. Use your spell check.) I was told on the phone it would be refunded or there wouldn't have been an issue. How can they keep a check for a service they did not provide? I never actually APPLIED and they all knew that. That sounds pretty illegal to me. It's not about being "nice enough to refund it." It's about giving someone their money back for a service you did not provide. They never even screened me, or did anything but show me one apartment and hand me the packet. The next business day, I made arrangements to pick up the checks and was told NO PROBLEM. These issues are where the problem lies, in case you don't understand for whatever reason. The nicer lady who actually was handling me tried to get my money back because she knew it was wrong. The older one with no business ethics is the one who "kept" the check. I posted the review as an example of one true experience to warn others that this could happen to them. If you don't like it read something else. Readers: Go through the reviews and note the posts "PoetaKC" has made. This person obviously works there and you should disregard their posts as they are made under false pretenses. To this staff member who can't stand the truth: To answer your questions, no I am not an editor, I just happen to speak and write in English. Also, I used bullets which is a common practice. I apologize if that seemed to confuse you. I'm glad this website exists because I'm sure it has saved many from making mistakes with rentals. I think it's pathetic that you have to use profanity and insults to get your points across rather than factually addressing the issues and fixing it or even just sitting back and observing or at least identifying yourself truthfully. My situation speaks for itself and I don't have to use the anonymity of the internet as a source of bravado to insult you or anyone else. I think everyone knows exactly who you are simply judging by your number of posts and their content. So if you choose to deny it, that is up to you I suppose. Dishonesty and lack of accountability like that is probably why your residents and visitors like me have such negative accounts. Instead of being on the computer in your office insulting people who have freedom of speech, why don't you just take the complaints with a grain of salt and do what you can to make your residents happy to the best of your ability instead of being ridiculously immature? Let this site be for those who have constructive factual things to say; not management or staff who want to insult other people for having opinions.

This is so funnny. Isn't the application fee only like... 25 bucks? Wow you must have issues if 25 bucks is that big of a deal to you. Need me to help you with some groceries?
