It is true, I lived there. They came in and told me that my housekeeping was not up to par and they were coming back in two days to reinspect and warned that if it was not changed then I would be evicted. My apartment was clean with the exception of laundry that I had in a pile on my living room floor (my washer and dryer was in a closet in the living room) and some clothes on top of the washer. I am a single mom with two jobs and it's not always gonna be magazine perfect where I live. That particular day, I had been called to work on my day off and had to leave quickly. There was no trash, no dishes out...nothing that would cause bugs or damage to the property.
The secure doors work with a small encoded plastic "key" that you put up to a box on the door. It's handy.
I lived there for a year, it was cheap but we were not happy there. I would suggest that you maybe hang out and ask people that you see coming and going what they think of the place. I would not recommend it myself.

They do not just walk into your apartment but they do do routine check - BUT they always give notice. They will come in if there is a maintenance request as well.
Security... there are cameras and you have a remote key that lets you into the building and two keys (one main and one dead bolt) to your apt.
I've been here since December without a problem...
Hope that helps!

they have come into my place without notice several times. nothing is stolen or moved around, however, you will not have any privacy living here. so keep your place up to par.

The "routine checks" that people have mentioned are actually inspections that were based on teh move in reports that the first tenant in the apartment filled out. When we send these forms to our auditors they want to make sure that all service requests have been completed which is why the inspections were pruely based on items listed on move in reports. As far as housekeeping goes, inspections based on that are only done if there is a complaint from a neighbor or if our maintenance has seen something in your apartment. We require good housekeeping simply because we do not want any infestations from bugs or rodents as well as mold. Inspections are only to your benefit and notice is always given. -- Assistant Manager
