I applied for these apartments awhile back, and I was upfront with them that I had less than perfect credit as they do a credit check. They said they'd run it and see how it turned out. To make a long story short, they called me and told me there was one thing on my credit report that was holding me back from moving in- a $600 phone bill. I really wanted to move in, because the apartments looked very nice and the price was very reasonable. I asked if I paid the $600 bill, and got a letter from the company stating it was paid in full if that would be acceptable. They told me that would work. So I paid the bill, gave them the letter, and then they told me there was a page of the credit report they missed, and that I could not move in. That really frustrated me, as I would've made payments on the bill I owed and wouldn't have paid all $600 at once if I wasn't going to be able to move in. It really unfuriated me, and even now that my credit is improved, I wouldn't dare step foot in that place.
