Wow, where do I begin. Lets start with the structure, its OLD. This place is settling in to the ground and you can feel it when you walk across the living room. There was a major dip in the living room and the floor boards where making a loud banging noise. My roomie had to put the couch over it to cover it up. BLACK MOLD ALERT!!!!! This place had the worst case of black mold in the bathroom from the former tenant and all we got to view was a look alike before we moved in. We complained about this many times and were promised it would be taken care of, big shocker-it was never fixed. The carpet was very old when we moved in, it had stains all over it and smelled as if three hundred cats sprayed on it. we did have cats in all fairness, however when there is a preexisting situation its going to only get worse. Then the walls were very thin and you could hear anything and everything. From the band above us to the potheads there were below us. Oh yeah we could smell it too. If we wanted to be nosy we just had to lay on the floor and listen to what was going on beneath us. The office staff was very deceitful the entire time we lived there, in fact they down right broke the law many times. Due to hard times my roomie and I could not afford to move for a long time. Thank God we did! The maintenance staff were completely incompetent. they tried to put in a new toilet, it leaked, tried to fix a hole in the ceiling and ended shooting the texturing material all over the kitchen! They also attempted to patch a hole in the wall (it just caved in one day) in the bathroom and there was a permanent dip in the wall from the repair. The office manager is just a nightmare, will tell you anything to get you to resign the lease, forced me into an 8 month lease, then didn't fix any of the problems promised and compromised to a 7 month lease and pretended she was doing us a favor. DO NOT LIVE HERE! They will treat you like a number, and they have no idea how to keep people in the building. The pool looks like crap and is very small. The only thing i liked about this property is the location, if you can handle a total disaster, and nightmare to live on the plaza,... you might be fine. Keep in mind though 735 a month doesnt even get you a washer and dryer either! by the way, speaking of laundry room, the room at cambridge, the dryers were so bad that you would have to wash your clothes at cambridge and dry at el mirador, not a long walk just inconvenient, although you still have to pay an astounding 1.25 for wash and for dry,... total nightmare. Good luck parking, sometimes would have to park almost two blocks away unless you pay the 25 dollars a month for a parking space, where people take your spot anyway. Oh and if you have a nice car,... good luck on Pennsylvania i have seen almost 300 cars get tapped or bummped, and a few had really bad accidents because of the idiots that drive the wrong way up the one way street.
