Because you monitor this site every day (a truly excellent - and professional - way to monitor the opinions of your residents and then proceed to chastise them for it over this website), I'm going to write this letter directly to you and let others who frequent this site bear witness.
You have *not* done a significantly better job than previous management.
The construction on the bottom floor is completely ridiculous and is taking far too long. I drive in the almost-unsuitable-for-parking garage frequently throughout the day, and there have been entire weekdays where this group of illegal immigrants does not even show up for work. There were two days last week. The days they actually do show up, they get very little done. I'll drive by there at 9:00AM, 1:00PM, and 4:30PM to see NOBODY working on the bottom floor of the garage! AND YOU FORCE RESIDENTS TO ACTUALLY SACRIFICE THEIR PARKING SPOTS FOR THIS GARBAGE! IN THE MEANTIME, TAKING OUT ALL GUEST PARKING FOR NO APPARENT REASON! Do you even have a timetable for this "project". You, as new management, are a disgrace. I hope executive07 sues you and I hope he wins. I know I'll be defended him, as I've already tried to contact him.
There are times when my security card that I need to flash to get into the complex won't work. Why is that' Why does it work on the main gate but only works *sometimes* on the side gate. It's frustrating to have to drive an extra couple minutes to get into my own home because your freaking system won't accept my card, which you have verified is correct. Get on this, guys!
And, not to mention, how's the sauna doing guys' Last I checked, it was still broken.
Why do you require an extra key to access the laundry room' Because neither of my keys worked. It was quite frustrating, considering I had to be somewhere the next morning and didn't have 2 hours to do 3 loads of laundry. We already have to pay $.75 (if I'm not mistaken) for each load. Are you afraid we'll scratch the table with our shirts and socks' Wouldn't want to risk that, now, would we'
Oh, and way to announce your little "New Years Resolution" party about 2 hours before it actually happened. That was actually quite arrogant of you. All of you should be ashamed. Not exactly a good way to appeal to thousands (well, actually, now it's hundreds - thanks to you) of residents who are frustrated and, in some cases, angered by the shenanigans that have been occurring here at your fine complex these past 7 years.
I'm still waiting for my apology letter. We, as residents (especially longtime residents like myself) deserve it.
So get with it.

Dear Fountain View Resident: I am writing in response to your valued opinion. I am sorry that you are disappointed in the management of your apartment community to this extent. I would like to speak to you personally to discuss this matter if you are open to an alternative forum for voicing your dissatisfaction. Please contact me as I would love to discuss a resolution.

There's no need to mention "illegal immigrants" because they're not. Check with the local Union. All those guys are part of a Union (Chicago). You are just showing your Missouri-Kansas "red-neckness"

Redneckness? It's illegal business practices! Their race or ethnicity has absolutely nothing to do with this person's message! It's not a matter of racism...it's another example of this apartment complex cheapening out by hiring illegal workers who will work for less pay.

Back to reality for a minute. The contractor hired to complete the garage renovations employs the people you speak of. You feel they are illegal immigrants, call immigration. I'm sure if you asked politely they would show you their green cards or citizens papers. They are proud and hard working people doing the backbreaking work you would not dare to. Don't forget your heritage, unless you are 100% Native American at one point your tree brached to immigrants.

I don't know if you received the memo, but the on site laundry facilities don't exist. The management has been purchasing and installing washers and dryers for all residents. Were you trying to do your laundry in a storage area? Just an FYI from one resident to another.
