Not good, and nobody's fault. Improving.

The lofts are awesome. Spacious, good views, nice city-living. That being said, while living here, I have experienced one problem after the other.

First, the viewing. I told them EXACTLY what I wanted, including very specific flooring. None of the apartments I viewed matched the description, and I settled. Months later, I discover they had--much less expensive--units that matched my initial description.

Next, the application. For various reasons, I needed a cosignor. I notified property management of who my consignor would be, and they had me jump through many hoops, including several long distance communication trasmissions. After this, they informed me I had to have a local cosignor.

After surviving the application process, I was harrassed numerous times about not paying our pet deposit. I didn't have a pet.

As a selling point, management discusses a parking lot. After several months of no progress on what is to be our parking lot, a few phone calls and several excuses later, a parking lot materializes, practically overnight.

Management chooses not to enforce leases regarding pet noise. Very obnoxious dogs bark at their whim and to the displeasure of all of the same floor.

Management delays disclosure of neighboring EPA Superfund site until weeks, perhaps months, after move-in and signing of lease. EPA authorities, when questioned, claim management agreed to disclose this to all potential property inhabitants.

Rather than distribute information to individual units, management posts messages "dorm-style" by taping notices to every entrance and exit, usually several on each door. Keep in mind rents are very high here, I believe up to $2800 / month--not exactly dorm pricing.

Management allows residents to dispose of pet fecal matter in waste receptacles outside of resident entryways--sometimes not emptying said receptacles for weeks. Very embarrassing and disgusting.

Newest leasing agent is exceptional and addresses my concerns in a very professional manner. She is the only reason I have chosen to stay. I hope she will transform the community. It seems she is already starting to do this. My staff rating reflects her performance, and definitely not the performance of previous staff members. The other staff members' performance varied wildly. I would describe the service as a bipolar.
