When we first moved in last February we really enjoyed both our unit and the complex, they had a nice workout area, pool and hot tub (when they were clean). I guess the problems started, or we started to notice them, about a month after we moved in. We began to notice that the whole complex was always dirty and the 6th floor, were you enter from the garage, always smells awful and the carpets are covered with who knows what. Other people have said it and I will confirm it, people just let their pets crap and pee all over the floor and then they just leave it for everyone else to enjoy and admire. It has gotten to the point where I am embarrassed to even bring people back to out place. I really like our actual unit, but it's just getting there that is embarrassing. Unknown to us at the time we moved in, 40% of the units are low income units, which I am all for and I know some people really need, but they do not do a very good job of screening their tenants (hence all the storage room and unit break-in's). Take my neighbor for example. When he is not hosting after bars STARTING AT 3AM on MONDAY morning (It has happened more than once), he is making our hallway smell like a Bob Marley concert. He then sleeps all day and is ready to go about 10pm the next evening (the bass starts thumping). Also, since a lot of them cannot afford to get cable, they make the club room just off the lobby their personal living room. It seems like every time I am showing somebody around, the same people are hanging out in the club room watching TV or taking advantage of the free internet. The parking situation is also a joke. They charge you $50/per a car and are getting ready to raise it to $55, but at the same time, they do nothing to protect the cars as both my car and my wife's car have been broken into within the same month. They knocked out both of out windows and stole our radio's and any other items they could get their hand's on. Bottom line, unless you want to live in an overpriced ghetto environment, don't move in here. There are a lot better places out there at the same price. We move out in March and we are counting the days.

sounds like urban living that you'd find anywhere urban. if you don't like it you should live in the country where there is nothing to do and no one to bother you. feels like you own the whole world, which is what it sounds like you're trying to do, so good luck with that.
