DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

This place is RIDICULOUS! The loft itself was nice, but the management is HORRIBLE and it's not worth the trouble. During the two years that I lived there, I had MULTIPLE complaints about the staff. On several occasions there were fire alarms late in the night when the entire building was evacuated and once it was cleared by the fire department and we were allowed in, the alarms continued for HOURS. Management couldn't be reached, and there was no one to turn off the alarms.
There are several tenants who sell drugs out of their apts as well and have strange people over at all times of the night. The first floor of the Finance building reeks of pot and several complaints to the management have gone un answered!
They also charged me $50 carpet fee out of the deposit (standard) and then charged me ANOTHER $100 dollars for stains that were there when I moved in and was told by the MANAGER who conveniently wasn't there when I moved out, not to worry about it. I called the office manager, Shane, FOUR times when I was moving out to let him know, and he refused to call me back. When I turned in my keys he said he didn't know that I was leaving even though I faxed over my statement of leaving 30 days prior.
The management team is a nightmare, they are rude, unprofessional and have NO respect for tenants time or money. If you can, avoid these apartments at all cost!
PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE! The city has taken away virtually all free parking in front of the building and the meters are a scam. The meter maids are ----'S wo have NO problem writing tickets before the meters run out. Unless you are willing to pay 65-75 dollars a month for parking that is up to a block away, I wouldn't move downtown. There are also a LOT of bums who loiter and panhandle in front of the doors. My tags were stolen off my car TWICE while living downtown.
ONE MORE COMPLAINT...the washers and dryers are small, and cost a FORTUNE to operate.

I don't agree with you in regards to the management, as they were always helpful, and eagerly sought ways to solve problems. However, I do agree with you regarding drug sales, strange people roaming in the halls during the night, esp. on the weekends. Believe many gang members - or want-ta'-bes were tenants, bums sleeping in the foyer. Very little sound proofing at all between apartments. Also, many tenants treated the apartment building like dorms, weekend mornings you had to tip toe around oceans of vomit on the floors at the entrance doors, or in the elevators. Much vandalism in public areas, and the storage lockers were totally unsafe. It's a pleasure to be gone, now that I think about what when on while I lived there.
