We had asked when we were looking at the apartment if anything major had happened to the apartment. They said no. We moved in and noticed fine black dust everywhere afterwards. When I went to clean it, it just smeared everywhere. I realized this was getting in my lungs too. We later found out that there was a fire in our apartment. The gas company came out one day while we were gone to do a check up after the fire. They noticed somebody had turned the gas back on without them knowing. Then they had to turn our furnace off because something was bent inside of it. I'm glad we're still alive! Plus, we asked them to put weather stripping on our door NUMEROUS times. They never did. It was a very cold winter, and our living room... the whole apartment really, was almost as cold. I definitely would not recommend the appartment we lived the one above or the one below. Probably not any in the entire building (my address was 1316 apt. 204)! I just called the office and the lady was super nice though today. I'm sure they've changed management again. I think it had changed a few times around the time I lived there. So Good luck to the new crew!
