Worse place I've ever lived

The only people writing positive reviews must be the incompetent staff in the office. There are no quiet apartments here. These were built in the 70s and not kept up. You can hear water through the pipes, walking, even a sneeze from your neighbor above. You can also smell the activities of your neighbors if they smoke anything, because the insulation is poor here. The staff doesn't fill out work orders and doesn't return messages - not even for emergency repairs. They won't fix problems until it is time for you to renew your contract and in exchange for a new agreement they will half ass fix your main problems. They refuse to ensure hot water to apartments unless numerous people complain numerous times. When repairs aren't completed and you question them, they offer lies and excuses one after another, and when they run out of excuses they just kick you out of the office because they are incompetent and can't resolve problems correctly. They actually told me that giving them an attitude was a breech of my contract and when I offered to break my agreement to them if they didn't want to rent to me, they back tracked immediately. I was not cussing or yelling at them, nor was I threatening them. I have yet to see a contract that states "giving the incompetent office worker an attitude when you're pissed about taking cold showers, is a breech of this contract." Do they really think we're all as stupid as they are' Clearly their positions require no qualifications. Oh and they will also accuse you of being a liar once their excuses run out. They must assume that everyone lies since it is such a common practice of theirs. If you like noisy apartments, the smell of pot when your neighbors party, cold showers, and rude, disrespectful staff, then this is the place for you. Good luck!

I think your managment or family of management. Who lives at a place for 9 years and looks up reviews on it? Usually people looking at the reviews are people looking to rent or those who have an invested interest in the place. I have a hard time believing that maintenance gets to your place the same day 90% of the time, because they have told us time and time again that they are swamped with calls and can't get to people the same day unless its an emergency or a leak. We must be in different places because I have seen numerous people come and go since I've been here. Most don't even finish their 1 year contract. I think the turn over is terrible here and that's why they don't offer anything but a 1 year agreement. I think their service is so terrible that a great majority of people only live here through the end of their contract, so they would have way too many openings if they offered month-to-month, 3, 6, or 9 month contracts. I think its very telling that they don't do this. I also find it interesting that they have had openings virtually the whole time I have lived here, because we're looking for a new place to live, and every descent place is full. With so many people losing their homes and having to rent, it's shocking they can't fill their spots, and I'm shocked the owner isn't looking into this. I have seen angry after angry neighbor leave who have said they would never refer this place to any one. No wonder they have no openings, word of mouth is very powerful.

Huh ... it's interesting that you've had such a bad experience. I've lived here over 9 years and LOVE it!!! If I call about a maintenance issues, 90% of the time it's fixed by the time I get home from work that day. The staff has ALWAYS been polite and helpful to me. I haven't had issues with neighbors because I've had the same one live underneath me the whole time. We get along great and I've never had any problems. But I do realize that having crazy, inconsiderate, neighbors can make life a living hell! Your experience has been so awful it sounds like you're living in a totally different place than me. But then again, I don't have any students living in my building. Maybe that makes a difference ...

I used to work there. The office manager and owner are very racist. The maintenance staff at the time I was there wass very helpful, but things change. I do know that you are referring to either Sharon or Michelle when you talk about the "attitude". They are good at throwing people out and never resolving anything. Doesnt surprise me that occupancy is low.

I was one of those people who lived there until my 1-year contract was done. I do agree that there was never any hot water, water running through the pipes, and walking of the neighbors above me (kids running back and forth). I also noticed that when the maintenance did come to fix anything, they knocked once and came on in your apartment. I thought that was rather rude that they could come in your apartment like that or even when no one was there. The staff was usually rude also!
