We've been in The Chimes for going on three years under two different management companies. The first company was medium to good on all counts. This new company is borderline poor to barely adequate. First they threw people out so they could raise rents. They will do this to you too! For 28 days they had the lobby filled with old appliances, it looked like a ghetto store off of Troost. The air-conditioning units were removed just in time for mother's day (hotter than heck that weekend, had to put the mom in a hotel). Recently the building has begun to smell horrible. They changed light and security fixtures and left holes in the wall still not fixed after three months. Promises made to fix things went undone for two months. The renovations are at best sloppy and planning is very poor. It's hard to live here! If you can find another place, not managed by Cres Management please do so. I've lived in big city apartments most of my life and these people seem like a bunch of hicks that aquired some money in a divorce settlement and decided to move downtown.

Spot on review. My experience was identical. Poorly run, shoddy service. Their idea of "fixing" something consists of cheap paint and a little duck tape.
