Downward Spiral

Unfortunately this apartment community has been going down hill ever since the CRES (the new management company took over). I used to be able to get maintenance requests resolved quickly and correctly, but that is not the case anymore. The community owned street lights are often out and residents have to walk through a dark alley to get to many of the buildings. When you call about these issues, the assure you that they'll be taken care of swiftly, but weeks later the same issues remain. They are taking less care in overall community appearance as well. There is more trash on the property and more eyesores of broken pipes, boards, and whatever else laying around that take months to be cleaned up. The office staff doesn't seen overly concerned with customer service and tend to spend more time gossiping than actually addressing problems. They spent thousands of dollars renovating the leasing office (which I will add looked very nice to begin with) simply to put on airs about the community. Don't be deceived by the office as I can attest to the fact that the actual properties aren't nearly as maintained. They are constantly entering your apartment as well instead of lumping maintenance trips together into one occassion. Pet rent is extremely expensive when they already charge a more expensive pet deposit than most communities. The windows are old, drafty, and are in desperate need of replacement in many of the buildings. They continually raise rent prices, but aren't advancing the community ammenities to make up for the extra cash you're shelling out. Quality Hill can talk a good game, but when it comes to actual quality, these apartments are unfortunately lacking.
It's been sad to watch this community deteriorate over the past few years. I thought some of the old staff a few years ago were flighty and out of sorts (Charlotte, I miss her!), but they always had a wonderful customer service outlook. CRES management came in with lots of high hopes and promises, but has failed to live up to those. I could go on, but I think you get the idea at this point. Downtown living is great, but there are far better options than Quality Hill.
