For the price I'm paying for my apartment, I couldn't ask for anything better. I looked all over Kansas City for an apartment and either couldn't find anything in my price range that wasn't in the basement of a crackhouse or anything decent much under $800 a month. When I found QHT, I thought that it was nice and would do. The buildings are old, but I like the character that comes with it. I like the older look of the bathrooms (the tiles are very 1950s). I have a great view of the river, downtown airport and the sunset at night. After first moving in, the trains drove me nuts, but a week or so after moving in, I hardly even noticed it anymore. People ask me when they're over if it bugs me and I have to stop and think for a minute what they're asking about. The units are either soundproof or I don't have neighbors. I've never heard a peep from the people on either side of my apartment. The workout room is fantastic - very well kept, clean, cable TV and usually empty. The pool is great, too, especially in the summer. I've only had one maintainance problem since moving in and, even though it was late at night, someone was there 10 minutes after I called in order to fix it. The staff calls to check and see how things are going, if you're happy, if you need anything after 3 months (a nice surprise after living in complexes where you move in and then never hear from the staff again - Scott and Keley have been great here!). They also left a note and gift bag to welcome me to the building after moving in and a card on my birthday. Not bad little perks :) The park feels safe, the neighborhood is great (good bars within walking distance), easy access to every major highway in KC...parking can be a pain in the ass, but I've never been more than a block away from my building (even when coming home from work at very weird and late hours). Use common sense when parking at night and walking back to your building (like you would anywhere - especially in a city) and you should be fine. I would totally recommend QHT to others (especially after seeing places that my friends have rented that cost more, come with fewer perks - ie, no maintainance, no bills included, etc - and don't feel as safe or clean).

I love how any time anyone says anything good about an apartment building there's always someone who wants to know if it's management posting... Because there's no chance that anyone could ever have a good experience anywhere. That's just not possible.
