River Market Loft Apartments

new management inept, grounds deteriorating quickly From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/7/2007 Years at this apartment: 1996 - 2007   Lived in the same river Market loft about 10 years and loved it -- until new management bought in. Loved the location and neighbors (most of the time) were great. Most of the management over that period was also good -- professional, competent, responsive to resident's requests. Maintenance and grounds upkeep had also been excellent. New management, however, far, far less than competent. Walks, hallways and general grounds are not kept up -- trash and litter everywhere. Fired their most loyal and hardest-working maintenance man. Getting things repaired now is hit or miss; took a week to finish repair on our dishwasher. Not the maintenance guy's fault -- it's the owners. Apparently they think owning the building is like having a license to steal. People stuck on non-functioning elevator -- not once or twice, but many times (elevator has been functioning recently, but still unreliable). New management wants to sell units as condo's and frequently leaves little notes on your door that they need "access" to your unit. Supposed to provide 24 hours notice but who knows when these bimboes sneask up to your door to post their ridiculous little notes. No direct communication, but all these little notes taped to you door, to the entryway door, etc. If you call them during business hours, voicemail picks up telling you business hours -- no one ever there to answer phone and they never call you but again, leave these annoying little notes. Publicly, management says they will ALLOW residents to renew their leases (like they're doing residents some sort of favor)however, all they want is a month- to month agreement so they can take your money each month and kick you out when and if they sell your unit. I didn't even ask for my security deposit back -- I'd rather forfeit it and allow these bumbling bimboes to think they cheated me out if it. There are many good, competently managed places in the River Market with excellent administrative and maintenance staffs -- anywhere but this place.
