Great area to live, but pick another apartment complex From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/21/2002 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002   Very nice area, nestled between the Country Club Plaza and Westport offers excellent shopping and nightlife. However, Roakoke West Aparments are awful to live in. I have never seen such a lousy job of remodeling in my life. I wonder how they managed to pass inspections. It's disgusting. Also, noise is a big problem, lots of college students that tromp up and down the stairs like elephants and the floors creek really bad.
