I lived there for 13 months. The worst problem I had was trying to get up the hills out of the complex when the roads were icy - I had to call in a couple of times because I simply couldn't get out. Once out of the complex, though, both Barry Rd and North Oak were always well-cleared in the winter. If the weather is going to be bad, consider parking next door at KMart for the night! I did have some water problems (leakage from upstairs) that required several trips out by maintenance, but he was always pleasant and kept at it until the problems were fixed. There was a change in management midway during my lease, but the assistant manager (Jennifer) stayed the same, and she was always helpful and pleasant. The new manager was very polite, too, even though I rarely saw her. The laundry room was small (8 sets) and not always perfectly clean, but the equipment worked adequately and my clothing was never disturbed there. The pool seemed to be closed more often than not, but when it was open, the kids enjoyed it. Nearby you have Price Chopper, KMart, Taco Bell, Walgreen's, Osco Drugs, and Minsky's (BEST pizza in town). Metro North Mall is right down the road, as well as several highway connections to get you anywhere in town relatively quickly (nearest: 169 & 152). When I left I got a lovely letter inviting me to return and my full deposit back within 2 weeks. It was a great experience (except for the ice!) and a place I'd go back to if I decided to live in an apartment in this city again. We didn't have the pest problem others have mentioned except for three startling encounters with Missouri Wolf Spiders (which can get as big as mice!). I don't recall ever seeing ants or roaches, even in the outdoor storage room. THAT was a nice change from past apartments. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
