I have just moved out of the complex after being there for almost 2 years. My experience was a pleasant one until recently but that had nothing to do with management or care of the facilities. I have always found the management to be responsive and the maintenance to be swift. I have discovered that there are hoodlums and thieves there but that has more to do with the way their own mothers raised them and is not the responsibility of the management staff.
I suppose, having conducted myself with good manners and a sense of propriety, the staff was more responsive. I believe they know what their responsibilities are and to the best of their abilities perform these responsibilities in an affiable manner. Sometimes a problem may have to wait on a more serious problem that has been reported, but it does get fixed.
I did have a problem with little 4 legged friends occasionally - I probably trapped 13 rodents in that time. but again - that had more to do with people who did not appreciate their surroundings leaving the little critters to defend for themselves and them having to seek food elsewhere. Once I let them know I meant business they moved on.
The apartments themselves are spacious and very affordable. neighbors sometimes played music loud but once I notified the office, retribution came swiftly. I had only one problem while I was there and I received an apology for the length of time it took to correct it but after that, it was nice. Why did I leave' A burglary. But again - that's not the fault of the management - that is society. And management, as a result of it, had a seminar with the Kansas City Police department on how to avoid being robbed.
All in all my experience at Royal Woods on a 10 scale would have to be a 7.5. I loved the apartments and the accessibility and closeness of the place to stores. I loved the office staff and enjoyed not only their conversation, but how they knew almost all of the tenants. I did not enjoy some of the neighbors and if I ever meet their mothers I will spill the beans on their "babies". Would I reccommend this place' You bet!

It seems like there's always one person who would refer a horrible place to other people. I sure hope you don't call them your friend.
