Possibly The Best Deal Out There!

Well, we are going on our second month living here at Stadium View Apartments, and I must say that I am very impressed. The neighbors are quiet and pretty considerate of the others around them. The management is very nice and helpful. If there is something that needs to be fixed or a problem that needs to solved, they will be sure it gets taken care of promptly. Plus, I have no complaints about our apartment so far as bills go. We pay $435/mo (the carpet was old and stained, so they took $20 off the rent), and the only utility we pay is electricity! So, I think it's safe to say that living here is cheap for about 7 mos. out of the year until you start using air conditioning. The space is great! The large living and walk-in closet is what sold us on the apartment (aside from the fact that rent is cheap we virtually pay no utilities). One other thing that I love about our apartment is that the laundry facility is literally two steps away from our door. The complex is tucked back into a wooded area which is really nice for privacy and it actually detracts a lot of noise from the other side too. I can sit in the living room with the windows open, and it's still pretty quiet. I can only imagine how nice this place will be once the trees start getting leaves on the them'!
The only complaint that I have is that the apartments could use some renovating. They are pretty out-dated and look the same. The counter tops in our kitchen and bathroom are paisley, and they're stained. The vinyl in both the kitchen and bathroom need to be replaced. And the carpet should be replaced as well, because it's dirty and stained from years of use and it's hideous. But, I guess you don't always have to worry about taking your shoes off. In our bedroom, it looks as though it may have been flooded at one time because the plywood underneath the carpet is rotted and brittle. Almost everywhere in the apartment the carpet is just laying on the floor like it was rolled out like a rug. It's almost as though the carpenter got lazy and decided to take the rest of the day off or something.
All in all, it's not that bad of an apartment. The rent is cheap, the utilities obviously are cheap as well, and it's quite spacious. It's in a great location. It's not right in the middle of all the traffic and city life, but yet it's close enough that it's only a 10 minute drive from everything. Also, we're only about 15 minutes from Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun, and like, 3 minutes from Chief's and Royals stadiums.
