Best Place to Live in the City

My wife and I lived at the Stadium View Apartments for 6 years. The only reason why we moved out was that we got a house at a reasonable price.

Staff: During my 6 years there the staff were always very nice and professional. They never let outside concerns affect the way they did business or treated their customers. They were always quick to respond whenever there was a problem with the apartment. You could tell they took owning and managing the apartments seriously.

Parking Lot: The parking lot is spacious and even when there is not a space right by your apartment, you still never have to go very far to find a space. It is kept in good repair and the parking lines are kept visible. Parking violations are dealt with professionally.

Apartment: The walls, ceiling and floors are all in good shape. The walls are painted regularly and you get a free carpet cleaning once a year. Bathroom and kitchen are both kept in good working order. The only detraction is the rather old range/kitchen. But even though it was old, it was repaired when a problem arose and worked fine thereafter.
The rooms are spacious and there are plenty of 3 prong outlets in every room.
The windows are nice and big. However the single pane windows tend to be a bit drafty. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet almost as big as the bathroom!

Neighbors: The residents are mostly quiet, respectful and responsible. The exceptions don't seem to stay very long.

Area: Living right by the stadiums means dealing with game day traffic, but there are multiple ways to get to the apartments so you are never unable to get in or out. The sounds of the games are only heard if you are outside, and only distantly. The game traffic does not go directly past the apartments so traffic noise is not a concern.

Schools: Located in the Raytown school district. There is bus pick-up right at the driveway entrance to the complex, so children do not even need to cross a road.

Amenities: The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, is kept clean and the chairs and tables are kept clean and functional. The deck and water are well maintained. There is no life guard but the pool monitor takes her job seriously and checks the pool periodically from her apartment window.
There is also a playground up the hill from the apartment office. We did not use this as we have no children but it seemed well maintained, though a bit limited in equipment.
