I lived here for 10 months. I signed a contract (MISTAKE!) I lived on the 2nd floor. I had the noisiest neighbors ever. I mean up till 3 am pounding around upstairs and blasting music till sometimes 5 am. Michelle Fry was the worthless manager at the time. She sent a few noise curtosey notes around the building and of course nothing helped.
Noisy Noisy Noisy! I don't mind on the weekends but every night. I had to be up at 7 to go to a place called WORK during the week. Plus the halls always smelled like weed but that did not keep me up at night.
Several months of this I told the manager I am leaving and gave her the key.
5 YEARS LATER, i get harrassed out the a** by some bottom feeding attorney demanding 1100.00 for vacating my apartment 2 months before the lease expired. He had me on a breach of contract and the the landlords did not have to provide a reasonable and peaceful place for me to live. I signed on the line and now I owe. I told them they had 780.00 in deposit money and to get screwed.
Michelle writes that the money was used to clean the shower and remove the shower curtain, clean the stove and clean pet stains out of the carpet. (I am a neat freak ok this is a scam for money)
I did pay after a default judgement and it was a ripoff.
After investigating KOHNER PROPERTIES in the public records, they have over 6000 lawsuits in the area alone. Beware of the ripoff artists. They work with a loser attorney named Richard J Koury in Independence. I recommend doing more research for a more reasonable place.
