Do not rent here if you have just graduated from college

After visiting KC and other apartment complex, I had decided to live at The Ethans and was excited about moving in. 3 weeks after having visited the apartment complex, my application being approved, and speaking to 3 different employees of the complex, I received a disturbing phone call from the complex. The called to inform me that everything was ok with my application except that I would need to also provide the last 3 months of rent at the time I move-in. The reason for this requirement was because I had not held a full-time job for 6 months.
I was very angry because I had never been told this bit of information and was being told this 2 weeks after receiving approval (even showed them my signed offer letter from my company). The amount required upfront was about $2000, an amount that I do not have being that I graduated from college in Dec. 2004.
And since the day I received the call I've been out of the country for 3 weeks. Now it is Feb. 2 and I start working on Feb. 7 and still need a place to live. Thanks a lot.
