I've noticed a lot of reviews on here mentioning the high utility costs so I'd like to fill everyone in on my findings. I noticed a trend with the water bill. During the winter the water bill is around $25 a month. This was odd for me since the last apartment I lived in was around $10 a month year round. Then when the summer months came our water bill hovered around $40 a month. FOR WATER!!! So I asked around and believe it not everyone has the same water bill. I believe what is done is they take the complex water bill divided by the number of tenets. So no matter how much you try to conserve, you still pay a ton for it. The reason why the water bill is so high in the summer is because they are running the sprinklers on the complex...Makes since doesn't it :) I also believe the electric is handled in the same manor, or it is per building. Or maybe it's because the apartments have so many cracks in it your air/heat has to run 24/7 to keep it at a reasonable temp. For example, you can feel a breeze in your apartment when the wind blows. That really works out great in the dead of winter.

Really? Because I thought water was based on how much YOU use. I work for an apartment complex. The management company pays for the water and electricity in the apartments that are vacant. No way are they supposed to divide it among the tenants. Unless all the tenants are using my water? I just think EA Maintenance and especially the Ethans will try to take their pennies where they can find them. I was away from my apartment for two months and my electricity bill was $17 (no problem), but my water bill was $25! The most I ever paid in the two years I lived there! The moral of this story, when you assume you get screwed. Be a smart renter, check into this stuff. Check into other apartments.
