My family moved here two months ago. When we were exploring apartment options, The Ethans clearly looked like the best place to be.. it was clean and friendly and had the nicest units.
But the day we moved in, the carpet in front of the A/C closet was sopping wet. We complained immediately, and have been calling maintenance every week or more ever since - they NEVER actually fix it.

The problem is that the air conditioner leaks like crazy, so bad that we can't even run it. A giant bowl placed under the leak fills up in about 15 minutes, and without a bowl the hall and bedroom floors end up soaking within a few hours.

The maintenance guy has been here over a dozen times, and all he has ever done is stick tape on various pipes. This past month the leaking finally stopped - because the air conditioner broke altogether. It's hot as hell and none of us can even sleep at night, and the maintenance man is doing nothing to fix it.
Why they won't call in an outside consult, I don't know. But this is ridiculous. Half the time we can't even get the maintenance man to show up at all. The service here is really bad! And it's WAY too expensive to be treated like this.

Our other pet issue is the parking. There are no assigned spots, and even though there are only 6 units in our building, we can *never* find a spot anywhere near out apartment. We have to park on a different street completely and hike up the hill, especially if we come home in the evening. It's highly inconvenient for bringing groceries home. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

First, the water on the carpets can cause mold. Second, A/C is a neccessity especially when the temps are above 95 degrees. Less if you are in an upstairs unit.

Call the city inspector to come over to check for mold. Then, call an attorney. There is free legal service available. Look it up. Mold is big buisiness these days. It can make you very sick.
