Escalting Problems...

So I've lived here less than a year. In that year, I've had my car towed which cost me $260 to get back, I've had a peeper and have complained to the office. They said the manager would call me about it. They didn't. Half of my clothes were stolen out of the laundrymat which they provide. A laundrymat which requires a code to get into. So when I do laundry, I have to park a 1/4 mile away unless I want my car towed, I can't leave my blinds open despite woods being behind my apartment. I told them when I moved in that in my last complex I lived under people that had loud, screaming kids and they agreed not to put me there again. Four months later, loud screaming kinds moved in above me yet again. I complained about the peeper to KCPD. They didn't care. They suddenly cared when a woman went to complain and then the cops came and took my statement. Now all of the sudden, I can't do laundry here without a fear of my clothes being stolen. What's next, robbery, I am going to be murdered in my own apartment''

No matter what they say to defend my comments it's all bs. They want to rent apartments and they don't care about you after that. There is a crappy apartment complex behind Then Ethans with lots of ------ who cause problems. I went to check my mail and there were two black kids walking in the middle of the road, one male about 12, and the other a female around 8. The male stood in the road until I almost hit him and the female was walking away as she pulled her pants down around her knees.

I lived in crappy apartments not too far away from here and never dealt with anything like this stuff before. I moved here thinking it was a nice complex but it sucks. I hate this place and I feel like I am going to die here. I read comments about people being robbed here and their bad experiences and I thought it was bs and they were exaggerating. They aren't. This complex sucks.

Now that I've been here when the weather gets cold, it sucks. My apartment is too drafty. Why complain to the office when they don't even care about my personal safety'

Okay so lets just talk about a few things here. You just stated that you have lived at The Ethans for less than a year. I have lived at the Ethans for going on five years now and believe that maybe since I'm a good tenant I simply don't have the problems that you've faced. First of all what idiot leaves their laundry unattended at a laundromat. If you're stupid enough to do that then you deserve to get your clothes stolen. As for having to park your car 10 miles away so it doesn't get towed. Maybe you need some glasses. Last time I checked there was parking in front of the clubhouse that has these facilities. My guess is that if you park in a parking spot and not by the curb that is painted red and says FIRE LANE your car won't get towed. . .SHOCKER. And can I ask why you're angry at the complex because the police didn't care about the peeper you CLAIM you had? I'm pretty sure The Ethans doesn't run the KCPD. Maybe the main reason why I chose to respond to this ignorance is because I happen to be black and you might want to think about what you're saying before you go posting racist bs (as you like to say)to show how stupid you are. Think about it. All I'm saying is my home here has always been perfect for what I need. Good thing The Ethans isn't racist like you obviously are.

I have lived here for almost a year, I haven't ran into any problems that you claim to have had. I'm not lazy and don't mind walking an extra 10-20 yards when I park my car. I don't complain because I have honestly loved the neighborhood that I live in. I agree with the person that posted first reply to your statement.

I would also like to respond to this poor soul's lost ranting. She apparently has issues that cannot be resolved through normal human interaction. I have also lived at the Ethans for nearly 4 years, and have had nothing but good things to say about this complex.... well, ok, except that the hot tub still isn't open (any day now..). I believe that your troubles are likely brought upon yourself, and that if you treat people with the same attitude as you write, you have deserved every backlash you received. Bad things happen to bad people. God doesn't like ugly.

I do question the motives of this posting. However, parking is an issue for several of the buildings, but that is no excuse for laziness and having your car towed. For the others that have posted comments...consider your self lucky that you have not been a victim yet. If you were completely aware of your surroundings you would know that problems with crime in and around the The Ethans is not limited to this individual???walk over to the police station an ask any of the officers or better yet just ask them for a crime report on the area.

Hey honestypays!
If we're going to get picky about someones spelling and writing skills, you might want to check your own comments before posting. First of all YOURSELF is one word, not two. Second of all, could your last sentence have been any longer? The last time I checked anD had a d in it. According to you I suppose we should now question the credibility of your post.

Looks to me like the management is really good about responding to postings and making it look like they are tenants. You should be fixing these problems and doing what it takes to make your tenants happy. Why just argue with the tenants that have legit complaints? Is it that hard to try to have a decent reputation?

All of these posting are from the office. God forbid I should leave my laundry in a dryer and expect it to be there 45 minutes later after I left it. Can someone explain to me why I should have to watch my laundry spin in circles for a half hour rather than expect that no one is going to steal my wet jeans and underwear? The parking complaint wasn't about the laundry mat. The parking there is fine since no one wants to go there since their clothes will get stolen. If you come home after work later than 5:30, expect a long walk whether you have groceries, loads of laundry, sick kids...etc. I will formally apologize now for having surgery on my elbow so I can't carry heavy loads of laundry for long distances. Apparently the state doesn't consider that a handicap so the parking lot Nazis steal your car. You can't park in covered parking for these reasons because they don't give a ---- and they are all about making money and spreading it around. The tow company knows who can park there and who can't because they pay them. My car was gone for 6 hours. When they took it, they had to break into it to take it out of gear, disengage the emergency break, and pop the hood to disconnect the battery because my alarm was going off. It was going off at 6 am. Wake up everyone! The Ethans wants to tow my car!!! I notice no one wants to bad mouth me about the peeper. Hmm. Thanks for your responses office, I knew before you don't care and now you confirmed it. Remember, revenge is a dish served better cold.
