Ok, I've lived in this complex for 5 years, in 2 different size/style apartments. I've also subscribed to, and read most of the reviews here. This place is affordable, large (by comparison) apartments, with a little age to them. Tell me anywhere else in this city where you can get 1200 square feet for $700 a month' Are there things I don't like' Sure - the apartment is drafty, but that's the building and the windows showing their age. Any real maintenance issues we've had have been fixed -- other cosmetic issues tend to be ignored (dead trees behind the building, reported multiple times, never cut down). The tree thing, while it is generally cosmetic, is also a fire hazard. Unfortunately, the trees are too close to the building to be safe - if they get struck by lightening, or catch fire for some other reason - they could easily set the building on fire. Crime - well, I truly believe that depends on how you protect yourself, and how careless or safe you are with your belongings. Yes, our apartment was broken into, we believe by our partying neighbors, who have since left. Nothing was taken - why - we have a very large and loud dog who deterred them. If you want upper class living - go around the corner and pay 3 times what you would pay here, for half the space. If you are normal work-a-day person who is realistic, this might be the place for you. No - I'm not employed by this complex, no, I'm not a big fan of the folks in the office or the owners - no, I'm not fond of the higher than normal utility bills - but for now we're staying, at least another year. Best bargain for the price that we've found that fits our needs.

How could you respond in 2006 to a review done in 2009?

Not WORTH The CHEAP RENT!!! FIRE HAZARD!!! Do you have a Fire Extinguisher? If you do, when was the last time ( or if ever ) it was serviced? I think this is a legit tenant post/review, too bad they have lower standards than most! If you are SMART Linda Brooks66, make a complaint to City Hall or H.U.D.. That is the only way some of the HAZARDS might get fixed, because you know the office staff ( that your not a big fan of ) will not do much, if it's going to cost them money. If they do, I'm sure the bill will be past to you or your fellow tenants -LOL-. You do get what you pay for, too bad you don't expect more or much.

Or you can always try the fire marshall....they will check out the fire extinguishers and any other potential fire hazards in a split second and they are NOT nice let me tell ya. It will cause alot of drama for the office and management but it will get the problem the attention it needs so you dont go up in flames! make sure you have renters insurance!!!!

Needs TLC..........but for an older complex, not bad for the price. Tennants can do their part by keeping their immediate areas clean.
