I'm currently getting ready to move out of the Ethans and have had quite the experience! You would think with a property manager who lives on the grounds you would have a safer place to live with more adequate assistance. However, this is not the case. I have not been staying at the apartment in the last two months, yet I just received a water bill that was higher than when I lived there! When I went to clean up my apartment, the amount of critters I had to sweep up and throw out was absolutely ridiculous! Which is funny, since I just requested to have the weather strip replaced on the patio door and it's already disintegrated. Most of my maintenance requests took approximately a week to be answered and when they were, the maintenance team thought it would be funny to leave cute little quirks about my intelligence on the slips, if they even left one. I have had almost non-stop plumbing issues in the past eight months that other people can diagnose right away that the maintenance team can't. I suppose this keeps them from having to call in a plumber and shell out some cash. As for the property management company, good luck reaching them with any complaint! They are virtually unreachable! I have called and left them several messages, since you cannot actually talk to a human, and have never been responded to. And it doesn't help that they are located in O'Fallon, MO outside of St. Louis. Unless you feel like a 4 hour trip to discuss your issue, you're stuck with the useless property manager and her ignorant leasing staff! I thought this place was a good place to be. In the Northland, near the police station, but it has turned out to be an awful experience.
I would caution leasees to keep copies of everything, take pictures of everything, report and document every conversation to the leasing staff and secure your belongings. The rent is desirable, but it's not worth the hassle. But you can only live where you can afford, and it still beats most Section 8 properties. And this is a privately owned company. Sad....

Another happy camper in the Northland! Tenants are not to happy in the Eastland either. This property could consider removing their name from this website but that would kill the entertainment we get from reading these "interesting" reviews....LOL

try --------------- to get in touch with someone in the corporate office, I saw it on some paperwork when I was in the office and when I asked what the management companies name was they said Midwest Diversified so I think that matches. Maybe its the owner! Maybe he cares how bad this place sucks. Im moving too....lost cause.

I agree! Lost cause, they act like they don't understand what you are saying when it's something they have to deal with or something that will inconvienence them. Then they act very quickly to tell you if you did something wrong. It's funny how that works...
