I lived at Three Fountains '07 - '08 and it was a positive experience. I have lived in several apartments and they all have pros and cons. I think no matter which one you choose there will be things you don't like about it. I lived in the 2-story apartment-style section. It was perfect for me at the time.

Pros - Size of apt for cost was great; Garage driveway means you always have 2 parking spots; More windows/ natural light than any other apartment I looked at; Center square with trees is very attractive; Pet policy was a very important pro to me as a responsible pet owner; Variety of tenants

Cons - Like most apartments if you have a noisy neighbor you can hear them; Kitchen was small and minimal but had everything you need to cook

Location - Quiet, even being so close to the 435; note that if your apartment backs up onto the grocery store they get deliveries around 3-4am and it can be quite noisy, but only if your bedroom backs up onto that area. This was the case with me, but some blackout drapes helped minimize it.

Management - Changed during my stay here. I never had any problems with them but didn't have any reason to deal with them either. I had to pay extra for some damage when I moved out, but that was expected so I can't knock them for that. I also didn't get any deposits back, but such is life.

Overall - In general, there is a trade-off between space and quality of the interior. But unlike other apartments I toured, there was no trade-off in security, grounds, apparent maintenance. If you need a lot of space, and can live without everything being new inside, this place it great. A lot of things that make apartments good or bad are unpredictable before you move in. Take a tour and decide for yourself based on what you see and how you are treated.
