I moved into one of the apts right after Jodie left and Dwayne and Amanda took over as managers with Lincoln Properties. My next door neighbor, who was supposedly a cadet working his way to be a police officer, constantly smoked weed and partied late at night. I could hear every conversation he had and even recorded some of it so that I had evidence of the noise level. I had asked him multiple times to stop and he did not. I eventually started calling the police every night and still the neighbor did not stop. I reported it to Amanda and Dwayne and it did not stop. One Saturday morning at 9am I received a call from Dwayne, wanting to know if I could meet with HIM at 10:30 at the office. Even though it was literally last minute, I agreed. When I arrived, there was Dwayne and the noisy neighbor. They ambushed me and apparently the neighbor and Dwayne were buddies. Dwayne told me that my reports of noise and the smell of weed were ridiculous. He said that because of my age (I am in my thirties and Dwayne & the neighbor are in their twenties) that I could not possibly understand and that because I was old and white, that I was just being difficult. He then mentioned that he and the neighbor were the same age and apparently friends and that was just the way it was going to be. I advised him that if things did not change, that I would move out prior to the end of my lease.
I could not sleep at night because of the noise from the neighbor, and started falling asleep at work. After being at that job for over a year with a clean work history, for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE - I was fired. Thanks neighbor, and thanks Dwayne.
Shortly thereafter, I was laying in the bed and heard a clunking sound. I turned on the light and what did I see'''' A mouse had one of the chopsticks I used for dinner that night, in it's mouth and was trying to carry it away. I of course called the office and reported the mouse. Nothing was done. So I bought the poison and the steel wool and the foam to plug up every hole I could find (and there were a lot of them) And sure enough, the bodies of dead mice were laid out on the floor throughout the apartment. I called the office to have them dispose of the dead bodies, and nothing was done. I stayed with a friend because I was freaked out, and after AN ENTIRE WEEK - those dead mice were still laying there. Nothing had been done.
That was the last straw. My health was being compromised and my patience was up. As I was packing to move out, I noticed mice feces on everything - blankets I had stored on shelves in the closet, clothes, and so on. I was so frustrated and disappointed. I turned my keys in and told them I was moving out. Dwayne told me they had mail and some packages for me, but he wasn't going to give them to me. Okay so that's like breaking the law'' But I was so over trying to deal with them that I just left. And wouldn't you know they had the audacity to take me to court' The judge dismissed the case, and now that I am trying to buy a house, I see that Lincoln Properties had reported thousands of dollars of being owed to them on my credit report.
So now I ran across this website, and thought I would warn you before you make the mistake of moving there. I am going to fight this to get it removed from my credit as I have certainly endured more that what should be expected. Amanda and Dwayne are the worst possible choices for management and Lincoln Properties is a terrible property management company. My experience with them was gruesome and aggrevating.

WOW! OMG! Sorry for your terrible, exasperating experience. When you can't have peace in the place you call home, it does take a toll on your health and well-being. I hope that "cadet-in-training" does not make it to any Police Department. We don't need trash on the Force, and I am certainly not interested in paying the salary of a druggie...and marijuana is dope! Good luck to you, Friend.
