Maitenance and staff are both quite friendly, and the price of a single bedroom cannot be beat in the downtown area. However, if you are not willing to compromise safety for friendliness, don't bother to check this place out. Repeated cars are constantly broken into (especially in the underground parking facility), visitor parking is inadequate, and the elevators are always broken. There is no doorman, so drunken homeless people loiter the lobby, and nothing is deemed "secure" because the McCohen-Esrey team won't splurge for scurity cameras. For a few extra bucks, get out of the 8th street area (university towers, quality hill) and check out the rivermarket or 10th street options.
