We have lived at walnut towers for about half a year. Although there have been minor problems (the elevators are a little slow, and no dishwasher) but other than that this place it great! The apartments are a little different than the one next to you, and they have great charecter! The office staff is new so dont read about that below! They couldnt be better at getting things fixed! The parking is fine because there are assigned spots and you can get underground SECURE parking for 20 dollars more...The rooftop is amazing, the view couldnt be better. You can paint as long as they can cover it when you move out(so no dark colors) and the floor plans are great. You are surrounded by a concrete box so no neighbor noise from above below side or side! Excelent place to live! Plus who wouldnt want to live in such culture!

That review was from someone not living in Walnut Tower Apartments couln't be. I lived there and what's this about being surrounded by a concrete box this is what the staff tells you when you complain about the fact that you can hear everything that's going on next door. And I do mean everything. Who wants to hear that!!!!! The parking has always been a problem again did you really live there. Cars were broken into in the outside lot and also the garage. I was a Security Officer not there whey have none and I was afraid to walk in there at night. People hanging outside!!! I had to let KCPD in there on a regular basis. The management was turning off the heat during the day (when I was home because I worked swing shift) and when the steam heat was on you still had to use an ice scraper on your windows. Another thing they decide when the steam heat will start for the winter not you. There were many years when it did not come on until Nov. 1st. The rooftop is just a place where they go to drink even though it's posted no drinking. And what's this about culture what culture. You're up the street from a bar. Is that what you call culture?????

uh yes i live there and still currently do! i have no problems with people hanging outside or with my car getting broken into! There is a ton of culture if you go a bit down independence and did you forget the city market? yea i am surrounded by a concrete box, you must have had horrible neighbors cause i only hear mine on occasion, I have also let kcpd in and assisted them with locating someone in the building, the security is just fine and you shouldnt let anyone you dont know into the building, never had problems with the heat other than it getting too hot inside the apartment, there is nothing posted on the roof or anywhere in the rules that prohibits drinking on the roof or anywhere in the building for that matter. Maybe bad residents just have bad experiences, but hey i dont know you to make that judgement.
