Horrible everything! Management, parking, maintenance

Wow I don't even know where to start. My lease is FINALLY expiring so I can get out of this place. I have only been here 11 months, and that is 11 months too long. It started before I even moved in. I was promised a top floor apartment, with vaulted ceilings, and a lake view. On my move in day, it was a 2nd floor apartment, and you definitely cannot see any part of the lake. And obviously being a second floor, no vaulted ceilings. Also they promised to fix a few things, and clean up a few things before I moved in, those didn't happen either. A couple of the cabinets will not stay shut, and one of the worst things is the pigeons!!! My balcony is literally COVERED in pigeon droppings, which they promised to clean up. 11 months later, all that is still there, rendering my balcony useless. You have to call a number of times to get maintenance to fix anything, and even then you are lucky if it ever gets done.
On top of that, and the parking issue(being there is NO parking available), the management is worthless as well. When I finally gave them my 60 day notice to move out, they asked why I wanted to. So I told them the above reasons, and also about all of the crime. There have been apartments broken into, cars broken into, AND people shot... all next to my building!!! Just today they found a guy shot outside, again, next to my building. All the management had to say about it is "well, that stuff happens anywhere". I'm sorry, but it DOESN'T happen just anywhere, it's because of some of the trash that they let move in, and the lack of security. They refuse to fix the automatic gate because 'it costs too much'; apparently their tenant's safety isn't worth it. DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE CRIME, horrible management, having nowhere to park, and just being unhappy altogether with the complex!!!
