NOT A PLACE YOU WANT TO CALL HOME!

Fist off, I want to point out that the previous posting was completely written by the office staff/someone affiliated with the management company. Those were the exact reasons why the office staff told me to rent at Whispering Lake, when I first toured there.

I made the mistake of living at WL for one year and could not wait to get out of there, I even moved out the first day of the 11th month, just so I could get out of that complex.

Everything is made of the cheapest materials. These are a few examples of what broke during my year lease: both closet doors in the bedroom, closet door in kitchen, garbage disposal, dryer, cabinet door in kitchen, and fan in bathroom. The air conditioner did not work throughout the summer, maintenance "fixed" it, but I could not see the results. The office replied with, It s hard to keep the upper levels of these apartments cool . I m guessing because heat rises'!' Needless to say it was cooler with a fan in front of an open window in the middle of July then that struggling air conditioner.

I never trusted my neighbors, and only one lady in my building was ever polite enough to say hello. My car was broken into and my stereo was stolen as well as my driving console/stereo area being ripped to shreds. My car was also hit in the middle of the night, completely crushing one of my doors. I reported it to the office, but there was nothing that could have been done classic hit and run. My neighbors were extremely loud and partied constantly, not to mention you could smell marijuana throughout the walkways of the apartment complex, from when people opened their doors, or sat on their decks and smoked out in the open. On many occasions, the smell wafted into my apartment that was welcoming NOT!

Parking was terrible, to say the least. I almost never got a parking spot in front of my building. Sometimes I had to park 5 buildings away, and walk in the pitch black dark of night with strange people lurking around to my apartment.

I never had any major problems with the office staff. The maintenance staff too was prompt in arriving to fix things, just did not always fix what they were supposed to i.e. my air conditioner.

The amenities were not even usable. No one uses the tennis courts for tennis, mostly people just use it as a fenced area to let their dogs run around in. There was a tanning bed, it was really old and I would never use it. There was a gym as well, but the equipment was again old, and half of it did not work. The pool was small, not kept up, and was packed in the summer.

I will say that it was convenient to have a washer and dryer in the unit, although they were small.

I would never recommend living at WL. Not a good situation all around. When you first meet the office staff they will try to hook you with reasonable prices, fireplaces, lake views, staff that lives on the grounds (one maintenance person, not any of the office staff) a washer and dryer in unit but do not fall for this like I did!
