Looks Deceive

The place was nice to live in during the year. And they took care of any problems we had. We had a slight problem with pigeons, so we stapled chicken wire on the bottom deck above us, which worked. The major problem i have with this complex is the amount they charged us after we left. They ate up all of our deposit with random painting and whatever else they could decide. Which when we left, it looked the same as we moved in. And the carpet they said had to be replaced cause it they claimed it was not "saveable". I had a friend of mine come in who professionally cleans carpets, and he said everything was fine, except the carpet had to be raked in the heavy traffic areas. He said it was nothing out of the norm, since it is an apartment. My friend has clean numerous apartments. But, Wild Oak didn't want to hear it. I even asked if i had it cleaned by someone else besides who they suggested and it came out good, would they still replace it' And their answer was yes, because their carpet inspector said it was bad ... umm ... "i would like to be able to have my own inspector work with any complex i own ... basically they would say what i want them to say depending on what kind of money i want out of my tenants" ... it cost me an extra 300 dollars beyond my deposit to have the carpet replaced for no reason. This place really tainted my feelings on apartments. I lived in Falcon Falls after this place, and they were 10 fold better. Absolutely had no problems ... i even put a hole in the wall and they charged me a measly 25 dollars for the fix.
